Paradise rediscovered

An unspoiled and silent oasis that offers unforgettable sunsets with Mediterranean tones, sounds and scents of a suggestive privileged erra: the oriented reserve of Vendicari with its Hellenistic origins is a fascinating place to be inebriated by.

The Tonnara of Vendicari

Along the paths the eye encounters evidence of Vendicari’s ancient past, which, at the center of the Mediterranean, was one of the most important merchant ports, famous for its salt pans and tuna preservation.

The tuna fishery used extensively the nearby marshes, which for many years were used as salt pans to draw the salt needed to preserve fish.

Industrial archaeology of the sea and history, culture, and ancient evidence come together in this magical place. Waiting for the sunset at the Tonnara di Vendicari is a magical and unforgettable moment.

The Tonnara, the beach of Calamosche, the Swabian Tower, the wilderness and historical relics, Vendicari is a place of undeniable charm in which to immerse yourself and be seduced by its beauty

Nature Oasis

Pristine beaches with crystal-clear waters, walks among fragrant lemon groves and Mediterranean scrub plants, shrubs and flowers that pour out their aromas in an environment where the presence of man is discreet and attentive to a nature that cannot be desecrated.

At Vendicari, the miracle of nature is renewed annually as the rhythms of the seasons  pass that mark the migratory routes of birds that  from the African continent migrate to northern Europe and back. The most anticipated guests are the  beautiful flamingos from the French Camargue  that stop here before migrating to  Africa where they spend the coldest months of the  winter season.
